Artificial Light Macros is a selection of macro photography work by Daniel Munteanu. Daniel says that
The goal of the project was to turn the world of macro into something different, more sensitive and abstract. My photographs are a combination of staged sets and simple items found in nature, arranged and lighted in different ways. I usually use complementary colours for the main and fill light or take the shots with backlight or harsh shadows.
The resulting images, with the combination of the natural forms and supernatural lighting, are otherworldly and serene, like the airless landscape of a deserted planet.
