Angels and Insects is a unique series of photographs taken by B. A. Bosaiya. These images, created using a modified 4x5 view camera and traditional film and darkroom-based methods, create an atmosphere that is antique and primaeval. The subjects are both grotesque and lovely; their tiny faces convey winsomeness and ferocity that is almost human. B.A. writes that:
We have come to see the world as devoid of mystery, and with these images I hope to restore some sense of wonder about the world around us. There was once a greater sense of mystery in the world-sailors of long ago would tell tales of mysterious beasts in uncharted areas of the flat Earth...I want the images to encourage people to look into their interior lives, and to become aware of the mystery and beauty of the world around them.
