FILE is pleased to present Salton Sea, a project featuring a gallery of images from the Salton Sea by photographer Ryann Ford. The Salton Sea is an inland saline lake in California where decades of rising salinity eventually drove away most of the permanent residents and businesses. Ryann says that she tries "to record this unique period of loss and rebirth. It's inevitable that these ghost towns will be demolished...yet there is something compelling and irresistible about this eerie yet beautiful landscape." Check out her haunting and beautiful images.
