Oblivious

Oblivious features the work of Paul Russell, who devotes one day a week to street photography. In the Oblivious images, the protagonists are usually blissfully unaware of their surroundings. Paul says that "My intention is not to make fun of the people in the pictures but rather to reveal what Tony Ray-Jones called the 'gentle madness' in the English people." We love the way he has captured the personality of his subjects without mocking them, which is not an easy task for a street photographer.
